Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents including bathing, dressing and toileting assistance
• Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes promptly to the nursing team
• Assist with safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics to protect residents and yourself
• Maintain accurate documentation of care and communicate clearly during shift handoffs
• Support mealtime routines and dietary needs while encouraging resident dignity and independence
• Contribute to a clean, safe environment by following infection control and safety protocols
• Build meaningful relationships with residents and families to promote quality of life

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential in good standing
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program
• Ability to pass facility-required background and health screenings
• Comfortable working overnight hours and supporting a diverse resident population
• Strong communication skills and a team-player attitude

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred; successful completion of an accredited CNA program required

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in basic patient care tasks: bathing, dressing, feeding and mobility assistance
• Proficient in taking and documenting vital signs and observing condition changes
• Knowledge of infection prevention, safe lifting and resident safety practices
• Good interpersonal skills for working with residents, families and interdisciplinary teams
• Basic charting and attention to detail for accurate documentation
