Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, supporting dignity and comfort every day
- Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing and mobility
- Monitor and record vital signs and resident status accurately and promptly
- Document care and communicate changes to the nursing team to ensure continuity
- Support infection prevention practices and maintain a safe, clean environment
- Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to follow care plans and improve outcomes
- Step up when needed to cover every-other-weekend shifts and support the team
Qualifications
- Active Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) or T-LNA credential (NH required; VT license accepted where applicable)
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
- Comfortable working in a long-term care setting and supporting older adults
- Dependable, professional attitude with strong communication and teamwork skills
- Travel LNA experience is a plus but enthusiastic first-time travelers are welcome
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a state-approved LNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in resident care and activities of daily living
- Accurate vital signs collection and documentation
- Familiarity with infection control and safety procedures
- Good time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
- Clear communication with residents, families and clinical teams
- Basic electronic or paper charting skills
