Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents — assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming)
• Safely assist with transfers and mobility to promote independence and prevent falls
• Monitor and document resident conditions and changes accurately and promptly
• Follow care plans and report concerns to nursing leadership to ensure quality outcomes
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and adhere to infection control best practices
• Support family members with clear, respectful communication about resident needs

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
• Completion of an accredited CNA program
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or able to obtain upon hire
• Ability to pass background and health screening per facility requirements
• Compassionate, patient-focused attitude and strong communication skills

Education

• High school diploma or GED and completion of an accredited CNA program

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in assisting with ADLs and basic patient care
• Knowledge of infection prevention and basic wound care principles
• Comfortable with electronic charting and accurate documentation
• Strong observational skills to notice and report changes in condition
• Teamwork and time-management in a fast-paced clinical setting
• Respect for resident dignity, privacy, and HIPAA guidelines
