Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents — assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming)
- Safely assist with transfers and mobility to promote independence and prevent falls
- Monitor and document resident conditions and changes accurately and promptly
- Follow care plans and report concerns to nursing leadership to ensure quality outcomes
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and adhere to infection control best practices
- Support family members with clear, respectful communication about resident needs
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
- Completion of an accredited CNA program
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or able to obtain upon hire
- Ability to pass background and health screening per facility requirements
- Compassionate, patient-focused attitude and strong communication skills
Education
- High school diploma or GED and completion of an accredited CNA program
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in assisting with ADLs and basic patient care
- Knowledge of infection prevention and basic wound care principles
- Comfortable with electronic charting and accurate documentation
- Strong observational skills to notice and report changes in condition
- Teamwork and time-management in a fast-paced clinical setting
- Respect for resident dignity, privacy, and HIPAA guidelines
