Roles & Responsibilities
- Verify and process prescriptions accurately in the central fill pharmacy to ensure patient safety
- Oversee medication dispensing workflows and maintain high standards for quality control
- Collaborate with pharmacy technicians and clinical teams to resolve medication issues promptly
- Ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations and facility policies
- Manage inventory and help optimize supply chain for efficient central fill operations
- Document clinical interventions and communicate recommendations to care teams
Qualifications
- Current, active California Pharmacist license (or eligible to obtain)
- Pharmacy degree (PharmD or BS in Pharmacy) preferred
- Experience in a central fill or hospital pharmacy setting is a plus
- Strong attention to detail, clinical judgment, and communication skills
- Ability to work Monday through Friday on a consistent daytime schedule
Education
- PharmD or BS in Pharmacy preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid knowledge of medication dosing, drug interactions, and pharmaceutical calculations
- Familiarity with central fill operations and pharmacy workflow best practices
- Proficiency with pharmacy information systems and electronic prescription processing
- Strong organizational skills and a focus on accuracy and patient safety
- Collaborative mindset and ability to communicate effectively with clinical teams
