Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care including vital signs, wound care, and ADL assistance
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and per facility policy
• Collaborate with RNs, providers, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver individualized care plans
• Monitor patient condition and promptly report changes to the care team
• Document patient status, interventions, and outcomes clearly in the medical record
• Support patients and families with education, empathy, and clear communication

Qualifications

• Active LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) license — New Mexico license expected or compact/licensure valid for practice in NM
• Graduate of an accredited LPN/Vocational Nursing program
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start)
• Ability to work the scheduled day shift (6:00 AM - 6:30 PM) and reliably meet assignment dates
• Clear background check and immunization requirements per facility policy

Education

• Graduate of an accredited LPN/Vocational Nursing program (LPN certificate/diploma)

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and documentation with attention to safety
• Basic patient assessment and the ability to recognize and escalate changes
• Strong communication skills for patient, family, and team interactions
• Infection control practices and safe clinical technique
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and timely charting
• Time management and prioritization on a busy unit
