Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to patients during overnight hours
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to care plans
- Monitor patient status, recognize changes, and escalate concerns to the care team
- Document assessments and interventions clearly in the electronic health record
- Collaborate with RNs and interdisciplinary staff to support patient-centered care
- Support patient comfort and family communication during admissions, transfers, and discharges
Qualifications
- Active LPN license in New Mexico (required)
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program (LPN)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or ability to obtain
- Prior LPN experience in a clinical or long-term care setting preferred
- Excellent communication, clinical judgment, and teamwork skills
Education
- Diploma or certificate from an accredited Practical Nursing (LPN) program
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of medication administration and basic nursing procedures
- Comfortable with patient assessments, vital signs, and documentation
- Familiarity with infection control practices and safe patient handling
- Basic computer skills and experience with electronic health records
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a busy overnight environment
