Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
• Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care while preserving resident dignity
• Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes to the nursing team promptly
• Support safe transfers and use proper body mechanics to protect residents and yourself
• Maintain a clean, comfortable environment and follow infection control protocols
• Communicate clearly with residents, families, and the care team to coordinate excellent care
• Document care accurately and timely in accordance with facility policies

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) — required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Ability to pass facility background check and meet immunization requirements
• Comfort with hands-on resident care and safe patient handling practices
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-first attitude

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an accredited CNA program and state certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in activities of daily living assistance and personal care
• Knowledge of infection control practices and safe handling procedures
• Basic competency in taking and documenting vital signs
• Familiarity with patient transfer techniques and mobility assistance
• Good time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
• Compassionate interpersonal skills and clear communication with families and staff
