Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
- Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming and mobility with dignity
- Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes promptly
- Support nursing staff by following care plans and communicating observations
- Document care and resident responses clearly and timely
- Maintain a clean, safe and comfortable environment for residents
- Build positive relationships with residents and their families through respectful communication
Qualifications
- Current state Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Ability to pass background check, drug screen and any required health screens
- Current immunizations as required by facility policy
- Dependable, compassionate, and team-oriented with strong communication skills
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an approved CNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient care fundamentals and ADL assistance
- Taking and accurately recording vital signs
- Infection control and safe patient handling techniques
- Basic charting and familiarity with electronic health records preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork
- Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
