Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to residents at Red Rocks Care Center
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and on schedule
• Perform thorough patient assessments and create clear, actionable care plans
• Document patient status and interventions promptly and professionally in the EMR
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and advocate for residents
• Respond calmly and effectively to emergencies and changes in patient condition
• Educate residents and families with patience and clarity to support positive outcomes

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications a plus
• Local candidate only — reliable commuting to Gallup is required
• Demonstrated ability to work night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) and weekends
• Strong communication skills and a teamwork-oriented mindset
• Current immunizations and any facility-required health screenings

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid clinical assessment skills and sound judgment in nursing care
• Medication administration and safe documentation practices
• Familiarity with long-term care or skilled nursing workflows is a plus
• Comfortable using electronic medical records for charting and orders
• Infection control practices and resident safety protocols
• Compassionate patient and family education with clear, empathetic communication
