Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic exams accurately and compassionately to aid in diagnosis
• Operate and troubleshoot CR, DR and PACS systems to ensure image quality and timely delivery
• Demonstrate and maintain proficiency with HIS and RIS workflows
• Provide excellent patient care and maintain patient confidentiality at all times
• Practice infection control and body substance isolation in accordance with OSHA and hospital policies
• Participate in mandatory annual education including blood borne pathogens and infection control
• Assume supervisory or instructional responsibilities in assigned areas when requested
• Document work history, skills checklist and required credentials thoroughly for compliance

Qualifications

• Active ARRT (R) certification required
• Active Massachusetts Radiologic Technologist License in hand or proof of application required; client will not pend license upon offer
• Current American Heart Association BLS required
• Minimum 2 years of radiography experience with 1 year current experience
• Must be willing to work evenings and weekends as scheduled
• Meditech Expanse experience strongly preferred
• Must provide a supervisory signed reference from within the past two years
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient care skills and excellent bedside manner
• Proficient with PACS, CR and DR imaging systems
• Familiarity with Meditech Expanse, HIS and RIS workflows
• Mammography competency and current continuing education for radiology and mammography
• Infection control and OSHA-compliant practices
• Troubleshooting imaging equipment and software issues
• Ability to supervise or instruct other department personnel when assigned
• Attention to detail for documentation and competency maintenance
