Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care in a busy 52-bed ER, keeping patient safety front and center
• Perform IV starts, medication administration and monitor Alaris infusion pumps with precision
• Support procedural sedations and pediatric emergency care with calm, skilled hands
• Triage and prioritize patients in a fast-paced environment to ensure timely, effective treatment
• Collaborate with physicians, midlevels and the multidisciplinary team to optimize patient flow and outcomes
• Document care accurately in Meditech EMR and adhere to unit policies including scanning patients and meds every time
• Deliver an excellent patient experience through clear communication, compassion and clinical competence

Qualifications

• Current Kansas RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience (ER or high-acuity settings preferred)
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, ENPC, NIH
• Travel nursing experience or prior experience at a large facility is highly valued
• TNCC and Meditech experience are preferred but not mandatory
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, team-oriented emergency department

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong emergency nursing skills including triage, IV starts, and pediatric care
• Familiarity with Alaris infusion pumps and safe medication administration practices
• Experience using Meditech EMR for documentation and medication scanning workflows
• Ability to function well in team nursing models and maintain appropriate patient ratios
• Excellent communication, critical thinking and rapid decision-making in acute situations
• Adaptability to the pace and flow of a 52-bed emergency department
