Roles & Responsibilities

• Integrate collaborative care planning for individual patients and implement nursing standards in care processes
• Serve as charge nurse as required — lead the team, coordinate assignments, and ensure safe patient ratios (up to 6:1)
• Provide direct patient care on a medical‑surgical unit, supervising and collaborating with LNA staff
• Document thoroughly and accurately in EPIC to support continuity of care
• Communicate with interdisciplinary teams, patients and families to deliver patient‑centered care
• Prioritize patient safety, escalation and response in partnership with the Nurse Lead and House Supervisor

Qualifications

• Active New Hampshire RN license or Compact RN license (must be uploaded with profile)
• New Hampshire Temporary Health Care Service Agency License/Registration Certificate required for agency submissions
• Minimum 3+ years current Medical‑Surgical nursing experience (required)
• Charge nurse experience (required)
• Active American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
• EPIC EMR experience (highly preferred)
• Previous travel nurse experience (preferred)
• Permanent address included in profile and traveler must have own vehicle
• One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking on a Medical‑Surgical unit
• Proficiency with EPIC documentation and electronic charting workflows
• Leadership and team coordination as a charge nurse
• Ability to manage patient assignments consistent with a 6:1 ratio and collaborate with LNA support
• Excellent communication, time management and patient education skills
• Comfort working within established policies — scheduling requests must be submitted at time of application
