Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and on schedule
- Monitor and document resident conditions, reporting changes to the care team
- Collaborate with nurses, aides, and interdisciplinary staff to deliver coordinated care
- Support residents with activities of daily living and encourage independence
- Maintain clear, accurate records and communicate effectively with families and staff
Qualifications
- Current, active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license (New Mexico preferred)
- Ability to work the scheduled night shifts (Saturday, Sunday, Monday) and reliably commute locally
- Comfortable working in a long-term care/skilled nursing environment
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude
Education
- Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program and active LPN license
Knowledge & Skills
- Foundational nursing care and resident assessment
- Medication administration and basic treatment procedures
- Familiarity with documentation best practices and electronic charting
- Infection control principles and safe patient handling
- Teamwork, time management, and resident-centered communication
