Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Monitor, record and report resident vital signs and condition changes
• Support safe transfers, mobility and fall prevention efforts
• Participate in care planning and collaborate with nursing staff to meet resident goals
• Maintain infection control, cleanliness and a safe environment
• Document care accurately and timely in the facility’s records

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) valid in New Mexico
• BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Ability to pass required background and drug screening checks
• Comfort working overnight shifts and supporting residents with dignity
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient hygiene and ADL assistance
• Basic vital signs assessment and documentation
• Safe lifting and transfer techniques
• Infection control practices and PPE use
• Familiarity with electronic health records or willingness to learn
• Empathy, patience and clear communication with residents and families
