Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
- Monitor, record and report resident vital signs and condition changes
- Support safe transfers, mobility and fall prevention efforts
- Participate in care planning and collaborate with nursing staff to meet resident goals
- Maintain infection control, cleanliness and a safe environment
- Document care accurately and timely in the facility’s records
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) valid in New Mexico
- BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Ability to pass required background and drug screening checks
- Comfort working overnight shifts and supporting residents with dignity
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current CNA certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient hygiene and ADL assistance
- Basic vital signs assessment and documentation
- Safe lifting and transfer techniques
- Infection control practices and PPE use
- Familiarity with electronic health records or willingness to learn
- Empathy, patience and clear communication with residents and families
