Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, resident-centered nursing care to individuals at Red Rocks Care Center
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and on schedule
- Monitor and document patient condition, vitals, and responses to interventions
- Communicate changes in resident status promptly to the care team and leadership
- Assist residents with activities of daily living while preserving dignity and independence
- Participate in care planning, infection control, and quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Valid LPN license (practical/vocational nurse) in New Mexico or eligible for state licensure
- Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Comfortable working night shift hours and functioning independently as part of a care team
- Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred but not required
- Clear background check and ability to meet facility onboarding requirements
Education
- Graduate of an accredited LPN/LVN program; high school diploma or equivalent required
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong skills in medication administration and documentation
- Proficiency with basic nursing assessments and vital sign monitoring
- Familiarity with wound care and common long-term care procedures
- Comfortable using electronic health records and clear charting practices
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and time management skills
- Compassionate patient advocacy and the ability to prioritize resident comfort
