Geriatric Nursing Assistant
Location: Brooklyn Park, MD
Shift Type: Evening shift, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (days to be determined / schedule may vary)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, supporting dignity and comfort
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding)
- Accurately take and document vital signs, intake/output, and resident observations
- Communicate clearly with the nursing team and families to ensure coordinated care
- Follow infection control, safety protocols, and facility policies consistently
- Support residents’ social and emotional needs through meaningful interaction
Qualifications
- GNA certification (required)
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Previous experience in long-term care or geriatric settings preferred
- Ability to pass background and health screenings
- Compassionate communicator with strong teamwork skills
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent; GNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic geriatric care and activities of daily living
- Comfortable with documentation and basic charting
- Ability to recognize and report changes in resident condition
- Strong interpersonal skills and patience with older adults
- Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
