Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality physical therapy assessments and individualized treatment plans
• Deliver hands-on skilled interventions including therapeutic exercise and gait training
• Document patient evaluations, progress, and discharge plans clearly and timely
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, case managers, and physicians to optimize patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families to support safe functional independence and home programs
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to continuous quality improvement

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist in New Jersey (or eligible to obtain licensure)
• Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program (DPT preferred)
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Experience in inpatient rehabilitation or similar settings preferred
• Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills
• Ability to perform hands-on therapy and safe patient handling

Education

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred; or Bachelor's/Master's in Physical Therapy from an accredited program

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in therapeutic exercise, gait training, transfers, and balance training
• Knowledge of rehabilitation protocols for post-acute and medically complex patients
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and timely documentation
• Strong clinical reasoning and patient-education skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively within an interdisciplinary team
