Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living like bathing, dressing, and feeding
- Support patient mobility and transfers safely, using proper body mechanics and facility protocols
- Observe and report changes in resident condition to the nursing team promptly and accurately
- Document care provided and vital observations in the resident chart to keep the team informed
- Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment that promotes resident dignity
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and support staff to deliver coordinated care
- Assist with mealtimes, positioning, and comfort measures to enhance quality of life
Qualifications
- Current LNA (Licensed Nursing Assistant) certification for Vermont or ability to obtain state authorization promptly
- Comfortable working the evening shift, including every-other-weekend coverage
- Reliable transportation to and from the facility
- Ability to pass facility-required onboarding and background checks
- Professional attitude, strong communication, and a team-first mindset
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an approved LNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in personal care and assistance with ADLs
- Comfortable with routine charting and documentation
- Familiar with infection control practices and resident safety protocols
- Strong observational skills and the ability to report changes clearly
- Good teamwork, time management, and resident-focused communication
