Shift Type: Night shifts, 3x12-hour (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), schedule varies (primarily nights), every-other-weekend coverage
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care for neonates, infants, adolescents and pediatric patients
- Manage advanced neonatal care including NG tube management, TPN/Lipids administration and neonate feeder/grower support
- Perform and manage IV therapy, start and maintain IVs and care for peripheral lines
- Deliver respiratory support and airway management: oxygen systems, oral/nasal suctioning and asthma care
- Administer emergency and specialty medications (including anti-seizure meds) and perform pediatric dosage calculations
- Monitor and respond using Pediatric Early Warning Score (PEWS) and participate in Rapid Response teams
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (IV teams, respiratory, PT, pharmacy, social services) to optimize patient outcomes
- Document accurately and thoroughly in EPIC and maintain infection prevention and isolation precautions
Qualifications
- Active RN license (Washington or compact license accepted per facility policy)
- Minimum 2 years of relevant nursing experience (note screens for under 2 years)
- Certifications required: BLS and PALS
- EPIC charting experience required
- Experience in NICU and pediatrics, with med/surg and neonate feeder/grower skills highly valued
- Comfort floating to adult med/surg when needed (float orientation provided)
- Previous charge or teaching hospital experience preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Neonatal and pediatric nursing principles and family-centered care
- IV therapy, peripheral line care and phlebotomy
- TPN/Lipids management and NG tube insertion/management
- Respiratory care including oxygen delivery systems and suctioning
- Seizure disorders management, neurologic care and VP shunt familiarity
- Orthopedic and fracture care basics for pediatric patients
- Pediatric Early Warning Score (PEWS) and participation in rapid response
- Strong EPIC charting skills and accurate pediatric dosage calculations
- Infection prevention, isolation precautions and wound assessment/care
