Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist the Occupational Therapist in implementing individualized treatment plans to help patients regain independence
- Provide skilled occupational therapy interventions focused on ADLs and functional mobility
- Document patient treatments and progress accurately and in a timely manner
- Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic exercises, safety techniques, and adaptive strategies
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure coordinated, high-quality care
- Maintain clean, organized, and compliant treatment areas and follow facility policies and state regulations
Qualifications
- Active California COTA license — required
- Prior SNF or rehab experience preferred
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently while also being a collaborative team player
- Availability to commit to the full 13-week contract
Knowledge & Skills
- Working knowledge of occupational therapy interventions for ADLs and functional mobility
- Proficiency in timely, accurate clinical documentation and progress notes
- Strong patient education and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams
- Familiarity with Skilled Nursing Facility/rehab workflows and regulatory requirements
