Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, skilled nursing care to long-term care residents during night shifts
- Administer medications and accurately document all care in PointClickCare
- Assess residents, monitor changes in condition, and escalate concerns to the care team
- Serve as charge nurse for your unit when assigned, coordinating care and resources
- Float between two floors as needed to support staffing and continuity of care
- Perform timely handoffs and maintain clear, professional communication with colleagues and families
Qualifications
- Active LPN licensure (able to practice in Wyoming or meet facility requirements)
- Minimum 2 years recent experience working in a long term care unit (explicit requirement)
- Experience using PointClickCare (PCC) for documentation and charting
- Comfortable working 48-hour night shifts and able to float between floors
- Able to take on charge nurse responsibilities when assigned
Education
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) diploma or equivalent
Knowledge & Skills
- Long term care best practices and resident-focused care
- PointClickCare (PCC) charting and electronic documentation
- Strong assessment and observation skills during night shift operations
- Medication administration and accurate, timely documentation
- Team collaboration, clear communication, and the ability to float between units
