Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate Med/Surg and telemetry nursing care for assigned patients during overnight hours
• Monitor cardiac telemetry, recognize rhythm changes, and initiate appropriate interventions
• Administer medications and treatments accurately while documenting immediately and clearly
• Perform thorough patient assessments and escalate changes in condition to the interdisciplinary team
• Participate in Trinity specialty competency processes and maintain required clinical checklists
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and ancillary staff to ensure smooth handoffs and continuity of care
• Support discharge planning and patient education with bedside teaching focused on recovery and safety

Qualifications

• Active RN license eligible for practice in Ohio
• Current BLS required
• Current ACLS required
• NIHSS certification required
• Experience working on Med/Surg and telemetry units preferred
• Successful completion of Trinity Skills Checklist and specialty competency testing
• Ability to pass required health screenings and a Trinity 10 panel drug screen

Education

• Active RN license (Ohio) and graduation from an accredited nursing program

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and rhythm recognition
• Med/Surg nursing fundamentals including medication administration and wound care
• Strong assessment and clinical decision-making during overnight care
• Clear, timely documentation and effective communication with multidisciplinary teams
• Familiarity with infection control practices and hospital credentialing processes
• Comfort learning and following facility-specific competency protocols
