Roles & Responsibilities
- Monitor telemetry and accurately interpret cardiac rhythms to inform patient care
- Provide compassionate, high-quality RN care on 12-hour day shifts
- Float between units as needed to support varying patient needs and staffing
- Work scheduled weekends and communicate availability for coverage
- Complete required skills checklists, specialty exams, and core competency assessments
- Maintain compliance by completing the full compliance profile within two weeks of start
Qualifications
- Active RN license verified via Nursys
- Current BLS certification
- DCI/BVP certification (required)
- Demonstrated experience with telemetry and cardiac rhythm interpretation
- Comfortable working 12-hour day shifts and weekend coverage
- Able to float between units and adapt to changing clinical needs
- Must meet personal health and screening requirements (vaccines, TB test, drug screen, fit test, etc.)
- Successful completion of Prime assessments (pharmacology, rhythm interpretation, core competencies, skills checklist, specialty exam)
Knowledge & Skills
- Telemetry monitoring and alarm management
- Cardiac rhythm interpretation and basic arrhythmia recognition
- Clinical assessment and patient-focused nursing care
- Medication safety and basic pharmacology knowledge
- Effective communication and teamwork when floating between units
- Infection control, immunization requirements, and screening procedures
