Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic radiographic exams in ED/Trauma, OR and portable settings with care and precision
- Operate X-ray and portable radiography equipment while maintaining radiation safety standards
- Produce high-quality images and ensure proper patient positioning for accurate diagnoses
- Respond quickly and professionally during trauma activations and emergent imaging needs
- Document exams and chart in Cerner accurately and timely
- Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and the care team to prioritize patient safety and throughput
- Maintain equipment, restock supplies, and follow infection control and OR protocols
Qualifications
- ARRT certification required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum of 2 years of Radiologic Technologist experience (ED/Trauma, portables, or OR experience preferred)
- Experience with Cerner or similar electronic charting systems preferred
- Prefer AZ radiologic technologist license in hand (preferred, not mandatory)
- Ability to pass facility credentialing and interview with the hiring manager
Education
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program (Associate degree or certificate preferred)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of diagnostic radiography and X-ray techniques
- Skilled in portable radiography and imaging in OR and trauma settings
- Comfortable working in fast-paced acute care/ED environments
- Familiarity with Cerner for charting and image documentation
- Excellent patient positioning, image quality assessment, and radiation safety practices
- Clear communicator who works well with multidisciplinary teams
