Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate telemetry and medical-surgical nursing care to assigned patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond promptly to telemetry alarms and changes in patient condition
• Administer medications accurately and document all treatments in the patient record
• Float between units as needed to support patient care across telemetry and med-surg areas
• Work weekends and coordinate handoffs to ensure continuity of care
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team and escalate concerns in a timely manner
• Complete required competency exams, skills checklists, and specialty testing as directed
• Maintain compliance with facility health and safety requirements, including screenings and vaccinations

Qualifications

• Active RN license (verifiable via Nursys)
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• DCI/BVP certification required
• Comfortable working 12-hour day shifts and able to float between units
• Weekend availability required
• Willingness to complete Prime assessments and skills checklists prior to or shortly after start
• Must meet facility health requirements (COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, TB testing, Hepatitis B, Influenza, Varicella, Tdap, drug screen, fit test, and related health screenings)

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and basic rhythm interpretation
• Medical-surgical nursing principles and patient assessment
• Medication administration and pharmacology knowledge
• Strong patient monitoring and documentation skills
• Ability to respond to clinical alarms and emergency situations
• Effective communication and teamwork in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Comfort with electronic charting systems and prime competency testing
