Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care on a Med/Surg/Telemetry unit, with a focus on safety and dignity
• Continuously monitor cardiac rhythms and respond promptly to telemetry alarms and changes in condition
• Assess, plan, implement, and document nursing care in the electronic medical record with accuracy
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care
• Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies according to policy and best practice
• Provide patient and family education to support discharge planning and recovery
• Participate in unit-based competency testing and maintain required certifications

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio or eligible for Ohio licensure
• BLS and ACLS required; NIHSS certification required
• Med/Surg and telemetry bedside nursing experience
• Comfort and experience working night shift and managing multiple complex patients
• Ability to pass Trinity skills checklist, specialty competency testing, and a 10-panel drug screen
• Current fit test and required vaccinations/health screening (COVID-19, MMR, Hep B, Influenza, Varicella, 2-step PPD or IGRA, physical/health statement)
• Successful license/certificate verification prior to start

Education

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
• BSN preferred where available

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and ECG interpretation
• Strong patient assessment and clinical decision-making
• IV therapy, medication administration, and infusion management
• Accurate EMR documentation and charting
• Effective communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced environment
• Time management, prioritization, and handling multiple acute patients
