Roles & Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and create individualized treatment plans that restore mobility and independence
- Deliver hands-on therapy and progressive exercise programs tailored to each patient
- Provide clear education and coaching to patients and families to support recovery at home
- Document patient progress accurately and communicate outcomes with the care team
- Collaborate with nursing, social work, and other disciplines to ensure coordinated care
- Adjust treatment plans based on measurable goals and evolving patient needs
Qualifications
- Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) or eligible for licensure in Massachusetts
- Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain prior to start
- Strong clinical reasoning and experience in rehabilitation or post-acute care preferred
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in an interdisciplinary team
- Ability to manage a full caseload while delivering compassionate, patient-centered care
Education
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred or Bachelor/Master in Physical Therapy
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, and functional mobility training
- Proficient clinical assessment and goal setting for rehab patients
- Comfortable with EMR documentation and timely charting
- Ability to educate patients and families with clarity and empathy
- Good time management and organization to maintain consistent progress notes and schedules
