Shift Type: Rotating nights (days vary), 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 12-hour night shifts; modified self-scheduling with every-other-weekend coverage
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $46 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Monitor and interpret telemetry data to keep patients safe and stable
- Provide high-quality medical-surgical nursing care for a 32-bed unit
- Document care accurately in Meditech and communicate changes to the care team
- Perform hourly rounding and use AIDET to enhance the patient experience
- Collaborate with unit secretaries, nurse techs, and interdisciplinary teams
- Educate patients and families, addressing concerns with empathy and clarity
- Float to other MS units or support ED holds as staffing needs require
- Maintain unit-specific policies and uphold the required professional dress code
Qualifications
- Active RN license in good standing
- Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience (medical-surgical/telemetry experience preferred)
- BLS required; ACLS preferred
- Experience with bedside telemetry and patient monitoring
- Comfortable using Meditech or similar electronic documentation systems
- Strong customer service skills and ability to work in a fast-paced unit
- Willingness to float and adapt to changing unit needs
Education
- Nursing diploma, ADN or BSN (or equivalent) and active RN license
Knowledge & Skills
- Telemetry monitoring and interpretation
- Medical-surgical nursing principles and best practices
- Proficient documentation in Meditech
- AIDET communication techniques and patient experience focus
- Hourly rounding protocols and whiteboard utilization
- Ability to manage patient ratios of 1:5 and 1:6 effectively
- Team collaboration and effective clinical communication
