Shift Type: Night shifts, 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every-other-week (EOW) scheduling with holiday rotation
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $48 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform blood bank testing and ensure accurate transfusion compatibility workups
- Process and evaluate clinical specimens with attention to quality and turnaround time
- Operate, calibrate, and perform quality control on laboratory instruments and systems
- Document results and maintain clear, timely communication with clinical teams
- Follow and uphold laboratory policies, safety standards, and infection control practices
- Participate in competency assessments and Trinity-specific checklist/testing as required
- Support holiday and EOW coverage to ensure continuous patient care
Qualifications
- ASCP certification preferred/required (as listed in the order)
- Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) certification or equivalent preferred
- BLS certification required
- Demonstrated blood bank experience is required
- Ability to complete Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Trinity Skills Checklist
- Successful license/certificate verification and required health screenings (fit test, immunizations, drug screen, etc.)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong hands-on experience in blood bank procedures and transfusion medicine
- Proficiency in clinical laboratory specimen processing and testing workflows
- Familiarity with laboratory information systems (LIS) and accurate documentation
- Quality control, troubleshooting, and instrument maintenance skills
- Comfort working independently on night shifts and communicating with clinical teams
- Attention to detail, reliability, and a patient-centered mindset
