Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered medical-surgical nursing care during night shifts
• Perform thorough assessments and implement individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments safely and in accordance with policy
• Float between units as needed to support staffing and patient needs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate continuity of care
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record
• Respond effectively to patient changes and urgent situations
• Complete required competency exams and skills checklists to maintain unit readiness

Qualifications

• Active RN license (state verification required prior to start)
• BLS required; ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications as applicable
• Experience in medical-surgical nursing and comfort with 12-hour night shifts
• Ability and willingness to float between units and work weekends
• Per diem flexibility and ability to meet compliance requirements within two weeks of start
• Successful completion of skills and specialty competency testing as part of onboarding

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid medical-surgical clinical assessment and patient management skills
• Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with medication administration and bedside documentation
• Strong communication and teamwork skills across disciplines
• Familiarity with infection control, safety protocols, and hospital workflows
• Adaptability to float to different units while maintaining quality care
