Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate critical care to NVICU patients, maintaining close attention to changes in condition
• Monitor and manage ventilators, hemodynamic support, and advanced ICU equipment
• Perform and support procedures common to the unit such as intubation, central line and arterial line care
• Participate in EVD patient care in collaboration with core staff and specialists
• Document patient care accurately in Meditech and communicate clear handoffs to the team
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists and interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
• Maintain safe patient ratios and prioritize patient safety in a fast-paced ICU environment

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN)
• Minimum 1 year of ICU nursing experience (NVICU or similar critical care experience preferred)
• ACLS certification required
• Meditech experience preferred
• Oncology and Neuro experience are a plus
• Comfortable with or experienced in intubation, central line and arterial line management, and EVD patient care
• Willingness to work night shifts and at least 4 weekends per schedule period; able to float to other ICUs/BMT/PCU floors

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong critical care assessment and prioritization skills
• Proficiency with ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR for documentation and orders
• Experience with ICU procedures: intubation support, central and arterial line care, EVD patient management
• Team-oriented communication and effective interdisciplinary collaboration
• Ability to work independently in high-acuity situations while following unit policies and protocols
