Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to patients within scope of practice
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and document appropriately
- Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members to support patient care plans
- Monitor patient status, recognize changes, and escalate concerns promptly
- Maintain clear, timely patient records and handoffs during shift changes
- Support patient and family education with patience and clarity
- Contribute to a positive unit culture by mentoring peers and modeling best practices
Qualifications
- Current state LPN license in good standing (LPN) — RN license accepted if applying as RN
- CPR/BLS certification required
- Recent clinical experience preferred; per diem or acute care experience a plus
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively on a busy unit
- Ability to follow facility policies, safety protocols, and documentation standards
Education
- Completion of an accredited LPN program (or accredited RN program if applying as RN)
- High school diploma or GED required
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid knowledge of nursing fundamentals, medication administration, and wound care
- Familiarity with electronic health record documentation
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of infection control and patient safety practices
- Good assessment skills and clinical judgment for timely escalation
