Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to patients, ensuring comfort and safety
• Perform thorough assessments and communicate changes in condition to the care team
• Administer medications and treatments accurately while following facility protocols
• Document patient care clearly and promptly in the medical record
• Collaborate with nurses, providers, and support staff to deliver coordinated care
• Educate patients and families about care plans, medications, and discharge instructions
• Support unit needs during admissions, transfers, and discharges with professionalism

Qualifications

• Current and active LPN or RN license (eligible to practice in North Carolina preferred)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or willingness to obtain
• Comfortable working 12+ hour day shifts and adapting to per-diem scheduling
• Strong clinical judgment, teamwork mindset, and excellent communication skills
• Prior acute care experience preferred but new grads with strong clinical training are welcome

Education

• Graduate of an accredited LPN or RN nursing program (practical nurse diploma or associate/BSN for RNs)

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in patient assessment, vital signs, and basic clinical procedures
• Medication administration and careful documentation practices
• Familiarity with infection control standards and safe patient handling
• Ability to use electronic medical records and complete timely charting
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well under pressure
