Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT imaging including CTA, CT perfusion, trauma CT, chest, abdomen, and extremity CT using GE scanners
• Operate portable X-ray and OR C-arm equipment safely and effectively when needed
• Ensure patient safety and comfort while following radiation safety protocols and imaging best practices
• Collaborate closely with the stroke and trauma teams at a Level I Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center
• Document imaging procedures and findings accurately in Meditech and assist with timely image routing
• Maintain equipment readiness and report any technical issues, working with clinical engineering as needed
• Support a positive unit culture by mentoring colleagues, communicating clearly, and contributing to team problem-solving

Qualifications

• ARRT (CT) certification and registry required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of CT/radiology experience
• Experience with GE CT systems and familiarity with Siemens X-ray equipment preferred
• Comfortable performing trauma CT, CTA, CT perfusion, and portable/OR X-ray procedures
• Ability to work overnight shifts at a high-acuity Level I Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center

Knowledge & Skills

• Proven skills in CT imaging, including advanced protocols like CTA and CT perfusion
• Hands-on experience with GE CT scanners (Revolution 512, Evolution 128, Frontier 128) and GE digital portable X-ray units
• Familiarity with Siemens X-ray systems and OEC C-arms for OR imaging
• Strong understanding of radiation safety and image quality optimization
• Comfortable using Meditech EMR for documentation and image workflow
• Excellent patient care, communication, and collaboration skills in fast-paced settings
