Shift Type: Rotating night shifts, 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM (overnight), includes weekend coverage — staff required to work 6 weekend days per schedule
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to oncology and women’s surgical patients
- Administer and monitor treatments and medications safely, following unit protocols
- Perform patient assessments and document findings accurately in Cerner EMR
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient-centered care
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
- Respond to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns appropriately
- Support unit workflow and staffing needs, including weekend coverage and floating when required
Qualifications
- Active RN licensure (eligible to practice in the state where assignment is located)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience — oncology or med-surgical experience preferred
- BLS certification required
- Chemo certification preferred and will be considered a plus
- Experience with Cerner or similar EMR strongly preferred
- Strong teamwork, communication, and patient advocacy skills
Knowledge & Skills
- Oncology nursing principles and infusion/chemotherapy awareness
- Med-surgical patient care and assessment skills
- Proficiency with Cerner electronic medical records
- Ability to manage patient ratios typically 1:4 or 1:5
- Familiarity with common unit procedures such as thoracentesis and cardiac monitoring
- Comfort working overnight shifts and providing reliable weekend coverage
