Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care in the Progressive Care Unit
• Assess and monitor patients’ conditions, responding quickly to changes
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care plans
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses clearly and timely
• Educate patients and families to support recovery and safe discharge

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (required)
• Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience (as stated)
• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience or comfort working with higher-acuity patients
• Ability to work the posted day shift hours and adapt to unit workflow
• Strong communication skills and a teamwork-first attitude

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid patient assessment and critical thinking for progressive care settings
• Competence with cardiac monitoring and recognizing telemetry changes
• Safe medication administration and IV therapy skills
• Clear, concise documentation and care planning
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and the care team
• Comfort working in a fast-paced environment and prioritizing tasks
