Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, evidence-based nursing care in the LDRP and Special Care Nursery setting
• Perform fetal heart monitoring and respond promptly to changes in maternal or neonatal status
• Lead neonatal resuscitation efforts when indicated and utilize NRP protocols
• Collaborate with obstetricians, neonatologists, and the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans
• Conduct thorough assessments, document care accurately, and communicate effectively with families
• Participate in Trinity-specific competency testing and skills checklists to maintain high standards of care

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) credential
• BLS (Basic Life Support) required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) required
• AWHONN and Fetal Heart Monitoring certification required or demonstrated competency
• Ability to complete Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Skills Checklist
• Ability to pass license/certificate verification and required health screenings

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of LDRP processes and Special Care Nursery workflows
• Proficiency in fetal heart monitoring and interpretation
• Skilled in neonatal resuscitation and stabilization
• Familiarity with Fetalink charting/software preferred
• Excellent communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
• Comfortable working overnight and providing high-acuity neonatal/maternal care
