Candidate Pay Rate: $46 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate PCU nursing care to adult patients
- Monitor and interpret telemetry and vital signs, escalating changes in condition promptly
- Perform thorough assessments and implement individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Collaborate with physicians, RRTs, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and discharge planning
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses clearly and timely
- Respond effectively in emergency situations and assist with rapid interventions
Qualifications
- Active RN license (must be able to practice in the assignment state)
- Minimum 1 year of recent PCU or acute care nursing experience
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate (or ability to obtain prior to start)
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid knowledge of progressive care/step-down patient care practices
- Telemetry monitoring and interpretation
- IV therapy, medication administration, and patient assessment
- Electronic medical record documentation
- Prioritization, time management, and triage skills
- Ability to work well in fast-paced, high-acuity environments
