Shift Type: Rotating nights, 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM (overnight); rotating schedule that includes weekends — staff required to work 6 weekend days per schedule
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered oncology nursing care on a 24-bed unit
- Assess and monitor patients, responding to changes in condition with sound clinical judgment
- Administer medications and treatments per protocol while ensuring safety and accuracy
- Document care thoroughly and efficiently in Cerner EMR to maintain continuity
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate surgical and medical care
- Support and assist with unit procedures as needed, including echo support, thoracentesis, and occasional pelvic exams
- Maintain patient ratios and prioritize care to keep quality and safety front and center
Qualifications
- Active RN license (required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience; oncology or med-surg experience preferred
- Chemo certification is a plus and will make you stand out
- Comfortable working night shifts and a rotating weekend schedule
- Strong teamwork and communication skills; willing to learn and adapt
Knowledge & Skills
- Familiarity with oncology care principles and med-surg nursing
- Experience using Cerner EMR for documentation and medication administration
- Skilled in patient assessment, IV/infusion monitoring, and medication safety
- Comfort assisting with or supporting procedures such as echo and thoracentesis
- Ability to manage a 1:4 or 1:5 patient ratio while delivering attentive care
