Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures following department protocols and regulatory standards to produce high-quality images
- Operate imaging equipment, manage image processing, and transmit studies to PACS promptly and accurately
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care — explain procedures, ensure comfort, and obtain relevant histories
- Participate in performance improvement (PI) and quality control (QC) activities to support continuous improvement
- Assist with fluoroscopic procedures once permitted and perform venipuncture per facility requirements
- Maintain clear documentation and ensure compliance with HFAP/TJC/CMS and state and federal regulations
Qualifications
- Current CRT issued by CDPH (required)
- ARRT-R certification (required)
- Current BLS (AHA) / BCLS certification
- Fluoroscopy permit from CDPH (must be obtained within 6 months of hire)
- Venipuncture certificate (must be obtained within 3 months of hire)
- Graduate of a JRCERT or ABHES accredited radiography program
- At least 1 year of experience as a Radiology Technologist preferred
- Willingness to complete required screenings and immunizations listed by the facility
Education
- Graduate of a program accredited by JRCERT or ABHES
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong skills in diagnostic radiography and image processing
- Hands-on experience with PACS and digital image transmission
- Familiarity with fluoroscopy procedures and safety protocols
- Understanding of HFAP/TJC/CMS compliance and state and federal regulations
- Proficient computer skills and comfort with electronic systems
- Competence in venipuncture and patient positioning for quality imaging
