Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory tests and procedures accurately and according to established protocols
• Collect, process, and analyze blood, urine, and tissue specimens with attention to patient comfort and sample integrity
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment to ensure reliable results
• Prepare reagents, solutions, and media following SOPs and safety guidelines
• Document and manage test results in the laboratory information system (LIS) with precision
• Follow quality control procedures and participate in activities that sustain lab accreditation and patient safety
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver timely, actionable laboratory information that supports patient care

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of experience as a Laboratory Technician or similar role in a clinical laboratory setting
• Proficiency in hematology, chemistry, microbiology, coagulation, urinalysis, and blood banking techniques
• Comfortable using laboratory information systems (LIS) and maintaining accurate data records
• Strong attention to detail, analytic mindset, and commitment to quality control
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to work well with clinicians and lab colleagues
• Phlebotomy experience or prior hospital setting experience is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Laboratory testing and sample collection best practices
• Sample processing, reagent preparation, and equipment operation
• SOP adherence and laboratory safety protocols
• Quality control procedures and documentation
• Familiarity with laboratory information systems (LIS) and data management
• Experience with hematology, chemistry, microbiology, coagulation, urinalysis, and blood banking
