Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, high-quality telemetry and medical-surgical nursing care to adult patients
• Continuously monitor cardiac rhythms and promptly recognize and respond to arrhythmias and changes in condition
• Perform thorough assessments and provide evidence-based interventions to stabilize patients
• Administer medications and treatments safely, following policies and ACLS/BLS protocols
• Collaborate closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress accurately in the electronic medical record
• Support patient and family education around diagnoses, procedures, and discharge planning
• Participate in unit-based competencies and specialty testing to maintain clinical excellence

Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered RN license (state verification required)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
• TNCC and NIHSS certifications listed as required in the order
• Telemetry and medical-surgical nursing experience preferred
• Successful completion of facility-required onboarding items: fit test, drug screen, immunizations, health statement
• Ability to complete Trinity specialty competency testing and skills checklist

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation skills
• Solid medical-surgical assessment and clinical judgment
• Proficiency with medication administration and ACLS algorithms
• Excellent communication and teamwork for handoffs and interdisciplinary rounds
• Comfortable with rapid prioritization in a busy telemetry/med-surg environment
• Accurate electronic medical record documentation and charting
