Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, evidence-based critical care nursing for ICU patients during night shifts
- Monitor and interpret complex hemodynamic data, respond rapidly to changes in patient status
- Manage ventilators, infusion pumps, and advanced life support therapies with confidence
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams — physicians, respiratory therapy, and support staff — to create and execute care plans
- Document assessments, interventions and outcomes clearly and timely in the patient record
- Participate in unit-based competency testing and contribute to a culture of safety and continuous improvement
- Educate patients and families with compassion during high-stress situations
Qualifications
- Current, active RN license appropriate for practice in Iowa
- Minimum ICU/Critical Care experience and comfort working night shifts
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- TNCC and NIHSS certifications as listed
- Successful completion of Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Trinity Skills Checklist
- Ability to pass required health screenings: Fit Test, Trinity 10 Panel Drug Screen, immunizations and TB testing per employer policy
- License/certification verification completed prior to start
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong critical care assessment and clinical decision-making skills
- Experience with ventilator management and advanced airway support
- Proficiency in hemodynamic monitoring and titration of vasoactive medications
- Skilled at prioritizing multiple high-acuity patients during busy night shifts
- Excellent communication and teamwork in fast-paced ICU settings
- Comfort with unit competency programs and structured clinical checklists
