Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM (Day shift) with scheduled on-call: 1 weekend per month and weekday call 4-5 days per pay period. On-call coverage runs from end of shift to 7:30 AM the following weekday; weekend call covers end of shift Friday through Monday 7:30 AM. (Day, with on-call and occasional weekend coverage)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $65 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert peri-procedural nursing care in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab, ensuring patient safety and comfort
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate efficient cath lab procedures
• Respond promptly and effectively while on-call to emergent and urgent cath lab needs
• Perform thorough patient assessments, monitor hemodynamics, and manage post-procedure recovery
• Maintain sterile technique, prepare procedural equipment, and verify supplies for each case
• Document care accurately in the medical record and communicate changes in patient condition
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and complete required Trinity skills checklists

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license (License/Certificate Verification required)
• Experience or competency in Cardiac Cath Lab nursing and call coverage (per posting)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• NRP, NIHSS and CPI certifications as listed in requirements
• Completion of Trinity Skills Checklist or willingness to complete prior to or during assignment
• Ability to pass required health screenings and drug/alcohol testing (Trinity 10 Panel, immunizations, TB/PPD or IGRA)
• Strong clinical judgment, ability to work independently on-call, and excellent communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of cardiac catheterization procedures, hemodynamics, and monitoring
• Skilled in sterile technique and procedural setup in the cath lab environment
• Proficient in rapid assessment and emergency response during invasive cardiac procedures
• Familiarity with peri-procedural medications, sedation, and post-procedure recovery
• Clear, compassionate patient and family communication under stress
• Ability to triage and prioritize while on-call and during high-acuity cases
