Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor med/surg and telemetry patients with keen clinical judgment
• Interpret telemetry data and intervene promptly for cardiac changes
• Administer medications and IV therapies safely and according to protocol
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to create and execute patient plans
• Document accurate, timely patient records in the electronic health record
• Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge instructions, and safety
• Participate in Trinity skills checklist and specialty competency testing to maintain excellence

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license (RN) - Ohio preferred
• Current BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Demonstrated experience working on Med/Surg and Telemetry units preferred
• Successful completion of Trinity specialty-specific competency testing and skills checklist
• Required health screenings and immunizations: COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza, Varicella, 2-step PPD or IGRA, fit test, physical/health statement, and Trinity 10-panel drug screen

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong telemetry rhythm interpretation and cardiac assessment skills
• Proficient in med/surg patient care and post-op management
• Excellent clinical judgment and prioritization in night-shift settings
• Accurate medication administration and IV pump management
• Clear, timely documentation and handoff communication
• Teamwork, adaptability, and a calm approach under pressure
