Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert ventilator management and trach care to critically ill patients
• Perform ABG collection and analysis to support timely clinical decisions
• Assist with intubations and support airway management during high-acuity events
• Deliver high flow oxygen therapy, bronchodilator treatments, and airway clearance procedures
• Respond rapidly and effectively to code blue and emergency situations
• Safely transport patients and ensure continuity of respiratory care during transfers
• Document assessments and treatments accurately using Meditech
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes

Qualifications

• RRT or CRT required
• BLS and ACLS required; PALS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience; one year of ICU experience preferred
• Comfortable working 12-hour night shifts and every other weekend
• Experience with ventilator management and common ICU respiratory procedures
• Familiarity with documentation in Meditech is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Ventilator management including Drager and Phillips V60 systems
• ABG collection and interpretation
• Trach care and intubation assist
• High flow O2 therapy, Vapotherm experience
• Airway clearance techniques and Metaneb use
• Bronchodilator therapy and patient assessment
• Code blue response and emergency airway support
• Patient transport and safe handling procedures
• Clinical documentation best practices (Meditech)
