Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality diagnostic imaging services using X-ray and fluoroscopy, including C-arm and OR imaging
• Operate and troubleshoot imaging equipment following manufacturer recommendations and safety protocols
• Practice radiation safety and uphold ALARA principles on every exam
• Verify orders and confirm patient identity using two identifiers before every procedure
• Educate patients about procedures, obtain informed consent, and review medical history prior to imaging
• Maintain accurate EHR documentation, ensure prior studies and paperwork are available, and submit images for radiologist review
• Manage inventory, order supplies, and assist with clerical duties when needed to keep the clinic running smoothly
• Assist, train, and cross-train imaging staff to promote a flexible, skilled team
• Contribute to departmental quality improvement, regulatory compliance, and infection control initiatives

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program (required)
• ARRT (R) registration in Radiology (required)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, or able to obtain within 90 days of hire
• Must be at least 18 years old (21 if position requires driving) and legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Successful completion of background check, pre-employment drug screen, and any required Employee Health steps
• Preferred: prior hands-on experience as a practicing Radiologic Technologist and cross-training in CT, MRI, DEXA, or Mammography
• Preferred: experience with electronic imaging systems such as PACS and RIS/HIS
• Self-motivated, able to work with minimal supervision, and comfortable taking on call/overtime/holiday shifts as needed

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
• ARRT (R) registration required; BLS required or to be obtained within 90 days

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of radiographic procedures and image acquisition techniques
• Fluoroscopy and C-arm experience, including OR imaging workflows
• Practical understanding of radiation safety standards (ALARA)
• Proficiency with EHR documentation and imaging systems (PACS, RIS/HIS)
• Patient-centered communication skills for effective education and informed consent
• Equipment operation, basic troubleshooting, and collaboration with service engineers when needed
• Inventory management and clerical support skills
• Ability to train and mentor fellow imaging staff and adapt to cross-training opportunities
