Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform CT and X-Ray examinations for outpatient and emergency department patients with accuracy and attention to patient comfort
• Operate CT and radiography equipment following established protocols and safety standards
• Position patients properly and apply radiation safety practices to minimize exposure
• Collaborate with ED and clinical teams to prioritize urgent imaging needs
• Document procedures, maintain clear patient records, and ensure timely image availability
• Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment, escalating issues when needed
• Provide compassionate patient education and clear communication before, during, and after exams
• Assist with physical tasks as needed (standing for extended periods and occasional lifting/pushing up to 50 lbs)

Qualifications

• Active ARRT (R) CT certification (required)
• Current ODH license (required)
• Basic Life Support (AHA) certification — American Heart Association only (required)
• Preferred: at least one year of experience in CT and X-Ray imaging
• Preferred: Operating Room (OR) experience is a plus
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform occasional moderate lifting/pushing

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with CT and X-Ray imaging techniques and patient positioning
• Understanding of radiation safety and infection control practices
• Familiarity with PACS/DICOM workflows and image documentation
• Strong communication skills for patient interaction and interdisciplinary teamwork
• Attention to detail for image quality and accurate record-keeping
• Comfort working in both outpatient and emergency department environments
