Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead and guide clinical staff in patient flow decisions and daily operations
- Coordinate assignments and resource allocation to ensure safe, efficient care
- Interpret and apply hospital policies while coaching staff for best practice
- Serve as the escalation point for patient/family concerns and resolutions
- Monitor staff productivity and provide constructive feedback and mentorship
- Collaborate with charge nurses, clinical leaders and the CNO on administrative decisions
- Support care for complex patients including postoperative and ICU-level needs
- Ensure safe use of advanced equipment (ventilators, A-lines, invasive lines, chest tubes) through oversight and delegation
Qualifications
- Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Montana (required)
- Minimum of 3 years' RN experience in a hospital setting with recent ICU experience
- CPR required; ACLS and PALS required or must be obtained within 6 months
- Hands-on experience with ventilator-supported patients and advanced invasive lines
- Proven leadership or charge nurse experience and strong clinical decision-making
- Comfortable operating multiple IV pumps and other advanced clinical equipment
Education
- Degree from a Nursing Program (RN)
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient flow management and resource allocation
- ICU-level care and ventilator management
- Cardiac monitoring and post-operative patient care
- Experience with A-lines, invasive lines, chest tubes and IV pumps
- Strong leadership, communication and team-building skills
- Critical thinking, problem solving and project development experience
- Customer-service orientation and the ability to interact at all organizational levels
