Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality critical care to adult ICU patients and their families
• Manage ventilators and perform intubation-related care with confidence and precision
• Perform central line and arterial line care and monitoring to maintain patient safety
• Assess patients continuously and respond to changes in condition with timely interventions
• Document patient care and clinical decisions accurately in Meditech EMR
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the interdisciplinary team for coordinated care
• Help maintain unit standards and infection control practices to protect patients and staff
• Support and mentor peers while floating to BMT and PCU as needed

Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing (state licensure required for practice)
• Minimum 1 year of recent ICU or critical care nursing experience
• ACLS certification required
• Comfortable and experienced with ventilator management, intubation, central and arterial line care
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR preferred
• Ability to work nights and at least four weekends per schedule period
• Team player with strong communication skills and a caring, accountable approach

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ASN/ADN or BSN preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care nursing and ICU patient assessment
• Ventilator and advanced airway management
• Central line and arterial line maintenance and monitoring
• Experience with Meditech electronic medical records
• Ability to work in fast-paced, high-acuity environments
• Strong teamwork, accountability, and patient-centered care mindset
• Comfort working across specialty areas such as Oncology, Neuro, BMT and PCU
